Students & Scholars Against Corporate Misbehaviour (SACOM) as an NGO aims at bringing concerned students, scholars, labour activists, and consumers together to monitor corporate behaviour and to advocate for labour rights. SACOM currently has vacancies on:

Project Officer

Duties
As the Project Officer, the appointee will be required to:
· compile reports on corporate social responsibilities and labour rights;
· organise and strategise labour rights campaigns;
· provide regular administrative and clerical support;
· keep communications with international partners and networks; &
· explore funding potential & draft funding proposal.

Requirements
· have a bachelor’s degree (major in social sciences or humanities is preferable);
· have good command of spoken and written English and Chinese;
· take ad hoc duties and work occasionally in evening and holidays;
· be willing to take occasional work trips to mainland China and overseas;
· have enthusiasm for Chinese / international labour activism; &
· have at least one year working experience in NGOs or other working experience.
Applicants with less experience may be considered for the post of Assistant Project Officer.

Communications and Media Officer

Duties
As the Communications and Media Officer, the appointee will be required to:
· design and accomplish campaign strategies;
· conduct public education projects on labour rights;
· maintain media and public relations;
· explore and manage various social media platforms promoting campaigns; &
· provide regular administrative and clerical support.

Requirements
· have a bachelor’s degree (major in creative media, communications or journalism is preferable);
· have two years’ working experience in media industry (preferred);
· have good command of spoken and written English and Chinese;
· take ad hoc duties and work occasionally in evening and holidays;
· be willing to take occasional work trips to mainland China and overseas; &
· have enthusiasm for Chinese / international labour activism.

Remuneration
We offer the appointee for both vacancies:
· a competitive salary starts from HK$14,000 commensurate with qualifications and experience;
· annual salary increment is applicable based on performance;
· a one-year contract with the possibility of renewal upon mutual agreement;
· 18 days on-paid annual leave;
· 5 working days per week and 40 working hours per week.
